Fast Santa Claus
It’s that time of year again and we are all thinking of what to buy our friends and loved ones.  If you have a runner in the family, have a look at the following ten suggestions and perhaps your problems will be solved.
    1. TUVIZO REFLECTIVE VESTYELLOW OR PINK
A reflective running vest or reflective belt is the perfect gift for runners in your family and among your friends.  It shows that you care about them 365 days a year.
      1. RUNNING SHOES
Runners get through so many pairs of running shoes in a year, that a new pair for Christmas would be an exceptionally welcome, but expensive, gift.  Just make sure that you buy the exact same pair that they are running in at the moment – runners are very particular about their shoes!
        1. ACCESSORIES FOR STOCKING FILLERS
Runners must be the only people in the world who enjoy getting a pair of socks in their stocking.  A lot of stores now have the most amazing selection of patterned compression and cushioned socks, although they do seem to have better selection for the fairer sex. For colder climates, there are gloves to suit everyone, including reflective gloves to complement the reflective vest.  Whether you live in an area with hot or cold climate, a good sunscreen is a must for runners. You could easily fill a stocking with just running gear, such as gloves, headlamps, water bottles, hats, snap band, headbands and edible energy giving treats.
          1. CELL PHONE ACCESSORIES
To save carrying a phone on a run, buy your friend or loved one a cell phone holder which straps onto their arm.  Alternatively, you could buy a cell phone cover which has been specially designed for running fanatics.
              5.  FITNESS TRACKERS, GPS AND PEDOMETERS
Garmin, TomTom, Timex, Polar and many other companies have a variety of fitness trackers, GPS’s and pedometers to suit all pockets.  At the top end of the market you can buy a fitness tracker, with GPS, which will allow downloading the data from all your runs and analysing your progress.  Some have even allowed you to throw away the chest strap to monitor your heart rate, as your blood flow is measured by a light on your wrist.  Many of these watches are waterproof, so they can be used for swimming training as well.
            1. CLOTHING
There is so much to choose from – T-shirts and vests, shorts, longs, rain jackets and warm winter jackets.  For those who have every item of clothing you can think of, try buying a novelty Christmas T-shirt for a bit of fun.
              1. SUNGLASSES
Many runners don’t wear sunglasses for the simple reason that they don’t stay where they are put.  There are lots of sunglasses out there which are designed especially for runners, so if you want to protect your friend’s eyesight, buy them a pair of runners’ sunglasses.
                1. APPS AND MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS
There are lots of useful apps for runners, monitoring their every move throughout the day and night.  There are aps where members can share their experiences (with photographs) with other runners and apps which suggest fitness programs designed especially for individual runners. A running magazine subscription, whether online or hard copy is always a welcome gift.
                  1. RUN SAFE WITH CUSTOMIZED WRIST BANDS
No one expects to have an accident while running but they do happen.  Some companies now produce wrist bands which contain all your personal details, so should you have an accident or become ill while running, your family can be contacted immediately.  It really is a caring gift.
                    10. FOR SOMEONE WITH EVERYTHING, INCLUDING A SENSE OF HUMOUR
For that friend or family member who has absolutely everything, but especially a sense of humor, why not buy them a Christmas tree ornament – a knee-replacement X-ray!
